In brief: We never automatically label every motorcycle as “EU Certified” or “CE Certified”. We only display verified compliance information for the exact product, and we distinguish CE/UKCA compliance from motorcycle type approval.
Sur-Ron is a Chinese electric motorcycle manufacturer founded in 2014. Its established motorcycle manufacturing operations are located in China.
The company's motorcycles are designed for international markets, including the United Kingdom and Europe.
Being manufactured in China does not mean that a motorcycle is counterfeit or inferior. The important distinction is whether the motorcycle is a genuine Sur-Ron product supplied with the appropriate documentation.
Northern MX confirms the available conformity documentation for each individual motorcycle before completing an order, and provides it to you with your purchase. We do not generate fictional certification numbers or conformity documents, and we do not claim official UK dealership status without confirmation.
Each China-direct order is checked against the following before dispatch and payment. These items are tracked privately in our admin compliance tools and are not marked satisfied without evidence.
- ·Correct model identity and variant confirmed against the supplier order.
- ·CE/UKCA conformity declaration for the motorcycle, battery and charger.
- ·Battery test report (UN 38.3 / dangerous goods) for lithium battery transport.
- ·Charger conformity and UK plug / voltage suitability.
- ·Agreed Incoterm, importer of record and responsibility for customs charges.
- ·Import duty and VAT confirmed and included in the final quoted total.
- ·Shipping documents and commercial invoice reconciled to the order.
- ·Road-legal status confirmed only where type approval evidence exists.
